Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Equipment & Programming

The Industrialization team is responsible to create maintain and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role sits within the Industrialization team and will lead equipment specification builds programming and work closely with process development to build machines around a process. Will work closely with maintenance team to develop long term professional maintenance procedures. The role will also be key in integrating part movement solutions into out of and between new and existing equipment. And support building quality into the process.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives
• Execute hand offs for new product introductions part and technology transfers new process introductions and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time technology selection tooling fixturing programming quality plan and run-off of initial production sets
• Execute hands-on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team
• Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety process quality qualifications and Lean
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers across teams
• Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste while coaching others
• Engineering standardizing and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness
• Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
• Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 6 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment

• Proficiency in NX and Vericut
• Proficiency in product and process inspection techniques

• Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment / This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville SC Garlington Road location

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $104600.00 and $174400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
