SAFETY CARE TRAINERS (8)
Eight (8) stipend positions available:
1 Early Childhood
1 Fall Brook
1 Frances Drake
1 Johnny Appleseed
1 Northwest
1 Samoset
1 Sky View
1 High School
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending a comprehensive Safety Care Trainer certification course (funded by the district) and attaining certification as a Safety Care Trainer.
- Leading initial and recertification trainings for staff within your assigned school.
- Facilitating district-wide training sessions or assisting at other schools as needed to ensure all staff are current on their certifications.
- Ensuring all Safety Care protocols are taught with fidelity and that staff feel confident in their de-escalation skills.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- A cool calm and collected demeanor.
- Reliability and a commitment to maintaining safety standards across the district.
- Previous experience with Safety Care or similar de-escalation programs preferred
Compensation:
- Trainings attended or held outside of working hours will be paid at the contractual hourly stipend rate.
- Any necessary planning or meeting time as determined by the Administrator of Behavior and
- Therapeutic Programming and/or Administrator of Special Education and Related Services will be paid at the contractual hourly stipend rate.
