Description

As a Process Engineer II at Honeywell LNG you will play a crucial role in the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Technology team. This position will be reporting to our Senior Chemical Engineering Manager based in Allentown Pennsylvania on a hybrid schedule.

In this role you will impact the companys growth and competitiveness by driving technical excellence and innovation in LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Technology ultimately enhancing the quality of Honeywells offerings. ( RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply engineering expertise to design and implement world-class natural gas liquefaction processes and equipment.
  • Perform advanced process cycle simulations for natural gas liquefaction and related systems.
  • Complete detailed thermal design of proprietary heat transfer equipment (coil wound heat exchanger) manufactured by Honeywell LNG.
  • Conduct relief and depressuring scenario analyses for proprietary equipment using established tools and methodologies.
  • Support plant operations through startup performance testing troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsincluding commercial project management mechanical design manufacturing machinery R&D and start-upto ensure seamless project execution and drive product development and improvement.
  • Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs at contractor offices to ensure safety and design integrity.
  • Domestic and international travel to clients offices contractors and plant sites expected about 10-15 percent of the time.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years of experience in chemical engineering.
  • 1 years of experience with process simulation software.

  • Experience in LNG liquefaction cryogenic technology or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for safety sustainability and compliance.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS ME or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
