Job Summary
Utilize your expertise to produce high quality parts and products in a manufacturing environment. You will assist in the daily paint operations to ensure availability of critical parts. You will follow standard work and operating procedures to ensure those duties are fulfilled and goals are met. Responsibilities include but are not limited to verification accuracy and reporting on incoming and outgoing materials for appropriate job orders within departments collaboration between teams and safe transition of parts to the appropriate departments.
This is a 1st Shift role (6am to 2:30pm).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Applying paint using HVLP spray gun to quality standards.
- Verify accuracy quality and quantity of incoming and outgoing parts and materials.
- An ability to operate paint guns and utilize wet paint systems.
- Promptly and accurately identify locate and process materials for job orders.
- Maintain and replenish supplies and equipment and ensure order.
- Ability to prep to paint by cleaning taping scraping patching sanding and other measures as needed.
- Safely dispose of chemical waste.
- Ensure proper ventilation after paint is applied.
- Conduct regular audits of supplies and equipment and maintain condition of materials.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure correctness and quality of parts and materials.
- Promptly and accurately report production data.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 1 year of experience in wet painting experience.
- Experience in auto-body paint.
- Experience applying paint using HVLP spray gun to quality standards.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Technical education is a plus.
- Computer literacy.
- An ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing bending pulling pushing climbing and lifting at least 35 pounds.
- An ability to communicate with others and work independently.
- Strong work ethic keen attention to detail and initiative to learn processes.
