DescriptionPosition Title: KVCC Mens & Womens Cross-Country Coach (Part-Time)
Salary Range: $5000 ($2000 for the fall semester $2000 for the spring semester $1000 for off season recruitment)
Job Summary: The mens and womens cross-country coach is a part-time position responsible for all phases of the mens and womens cross-country program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to promoting coaching recruiting evaluating current and prospective student-athletes and performing public relations for the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree required or equivalent combination of training and experience required
- Successful coaching and recruiting experience are required; at the collegiate level is preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification or ability to attain.
- Clean driving record required.
Work Performed:
- Evaluate student-athletes performance and design plans/strategies for continued improvement.
- Provide individual and group instruction focused on technical improvement.
- Schedule organize and oversee practices and meets.
- Develop a high-quality recruitment program supported with a written well-defined plan including cultivation of prospective student-athletes and scheduling campus visits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with coaches at local high school and four-year institutions.
- Initiate statistical reporting press releases and handle public relations.
- Assist the AD to ensure student-athletes remain eligible and stay on track to graduate.
- Attend conferences seminars and meetings as permitted for professional development.
- Educate athletes regarding KVCC travel policies.
- Remain flexible with the work schedule that may include days evenings and weekends
