KVCC Men's & Women's Cross-Country Coach

Position Title: KVCC Mens & Womens Cross-Country Coach (Part-Time)

Salary Range: $5000 ($2000 for the fall semester $2000 for the spring semester $1000 for off season recruitment)

Job Summary: The mens and womens cross-country coach is a part-time position responsible for all phases of the mens and womens cross-country program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to promoting coaching recruiting evaluating current and prospective student-athletes and performing public relations for the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree required or equivalent combination of training and experience required
• Successful coaching and recruiting experience are required; at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to attain.
• Clean driving record required.

Work Performed:

• Evaluate student-athletes performance and design plans/strategies for continued improvement.
• Provide individual and group instruction focused on technical improvement.
• Schedule organize and oversee practices and meets.
• Develop a high-quality recruitment program supported with a written well-defined plan including cultivation of prospective student-athletes and scheduling campus visits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with coaches at local high school and four-year institutions.
• Initiate statistical reporting press releases and handle public relations.
• Assist the AD to ensure student-athletes remain eligible and stay on track to graduate.
• Attend conferences seminars and meetings as permitted for professional development.
• Educate athletes regarding KVCC travel policies.
• Remain flexible with the work schedule that may include days evenings and weekends
