Employment Specialist III (ES III)





Department: Employment Services Job Coaching

Reports To: Employment Services Manager(s)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay: Base wage differential up to $1.00/hour

About This Role

This is a leadership-focused position within our Employment Services team.



The Employment Specialist III (ES III) supports the day-to-day operations of job coaching and day support services while serving as a mentor to other employees. This role works closely with Employment Services Managers to ensure services are delivered effectively documentation is accurate and employees are supported in their development.



This is not a supervisory role but it does require strong leadership decision-making and the ability to step in when needed.



What Youll Do


Leadership & Mentorship

  • Model calm professional behavior especially in high-stress or crisis situations
  • Demonstrate strong independent decision-making
  • Train and support new employees alongside management and trainers
  • Model expected job performance professionalism and accountability
  • Support individuals in building independence and community integration


Program Coordination

  • Ensure day support activities are planned organized and properly staffed
  • Coordinate needed supplies and resources
  • Communicate needs and barriers to management



Quality & Documentation

  • Review service logs to ensure completion and accuracy
  • Support tracking of service delivery and goal progress
  • Assist with entering service hours into the eXPRS billing system
  • Support development and implementation of employment action plans




What You Bring



Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 months of direct support or leadership experience
  • Basic computer skills and ability to type efficiently
  • Ability to pass a DHS background check
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record



Required Certifications (or ability to obtain)

  • VR Job Coaching Certification
  • OIS (Oregon Intervention System)
  • First Aid/CPR




Work Environment & Expectations

  • Work takes place in a variety of community and program settings
  • Frequent interruptions and changing priorities are expected
  • Evening weekend and on-call work is required
  • May be required to work mandatory overtime


This role includes:

  • Supporting individuals with high behavioral needs
  • Exposure to loud environments and unpredictable situations
  • Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and bloodborne pathogens
  • Physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical interventions when necessary
