Job Summary

Provide direct instruction and intervention services to students identified with dyslexia and related disorders while supporting core English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) development. The teacher will implement a state-approved dyslexia program aligned with the Texas Education Agency Dyslexia Handbook collaborate with campus staff and monitor student progress to ensure academic growth and compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate in:
- Core Subjects EC6 OR
- English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) 48 / 712
- Special Education (EC-12)
Dyslexia certification or training (e.g. CALT Certified Academic Language Therapist or district-approved dyslexia training)
Preferred:
- ESL certification
- Reading Specialist certification
