Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is seeking a Technology Development Engineer to support the 300mm semiconductor process integration team within the Feature-Rich product line organization. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration from development to production including customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of developing and delivering advanced technology for mass production. Also the ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of various processes and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop sustain and improve the technologies with quality cost and delivery all considered.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis.
- Identify understand and resolve complex process integration issues and related technological challenges.
- Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer needs.
- Support new designs with module characterization and design rule development.
- Work with cross function teams to resolve technical & yield concerns.
- Drive CIPs (continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals.
- Understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Work and collaborate on additional projects and/or assignments as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education Graduating with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering Materials Science Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline or related field from an accredited degree program.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace school projects competitions etc.
- Project management skills i.e. the ability to innovate and execute onexecute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Technology transfer experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams clients as well as internal and external partners.
- High-Volume Manufacturing experience in the FEOL/BEOL process with eNVM or HV technologies are a plus.
