Job Title: Senior Auto Body Spray Painter
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Auto Body Spray Painter to join our premier multi-brand workshop in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in end-to-end vehicle painting processes ensuring showroom-quality finishes while leading a team of junior painters.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Oversee and perform meticulous sanding masking and priming to ensure a flawless foundation.
Color Matching: Expertly mix paints and toners to achieve 100% accurate color matching for various vehicle makes and models.
Paint Application: Apply primer basecoat and clearcoat using professional techniques and high-end spray equipment.
Booth Management: Efficiently operate and maintain the spray paint booth ensuring optimal airflow and cleanliness.
Quality Control: Conduct final inspections of painted vehicles to identify and rectify any defects runs or imperfections.
Leadership: Supervise train and guide junior painters and helpers to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols including the use of PPE and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive painting (Senior level).
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern paint systems (water-based/solvent-based) tools and finishing techniques.
- Workshop Background: Experience working in a multi-brand or dealership environment is essential.
- Regional Experience: Previous GCC experience is highly preferred and will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail leadership abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
