About the role/What youll do:
The Business Travel Data Analyst works across the company to transform complex travel data into clear reliable and actionable insights that support both customers and internal teams. You will work directly with customer data across the entire lifecyclefrom early prospect conversations to implementation postsales optimization and ongoing execution.
This role is not a backoffice reporting function. It requires a strong understanding of how corporate travel programs actually operate and an ability to ensure that data accurately reflects realworld behavior constraints and trade-offs.

What Youll Work On:
1. Travel Data Analysis & Insight
- Analyze large complex corporate travel datasets (TMC card expense supplier) across all travel modalities and carbon emissions.
- Identify trends drivers anomalies and opportunities related to cost compliance emissions and traveler behavior.
- Support rootcause analysis behind customer travel challenges.
- Translate raw analysis into actionable insightsnot just reports.
Example work:
- Analyzing a prospects travel data for early sales conversations.
- Identifying key drivers of cost or noncompliance for an active customer.
- Supporting benchmarking or opportunitysizing exercises.
2. Data Validation & Quality:
- Validate all data sources transformations and outputs for accuracy and consistency
- Investigate discrepancies between reported data and actual travel behavior.
- Communicate limitations and confidence levels clearly to stakeholders.
- Oversee customer data QA and resolve data issues directly with data partners.
Example work:
- Sanitychecking supplier or TMC data before customer sessions.
- Resolving mismatches between booking ticketing and expense datasets.
- Flagging edge cases that could lead to misleading conclusions.
3. AI Support & Human Oversight:
- Validate and monitor AIgenerated insights and recommendations.
- Identify where human review or adjustment is required.
- Surface errors drifts or edge cases in automated analysis.
- Help define guardrails for responsible autonomous AI behavior.
- Ensure safe handling of sensitive customer and traveler data.
4. CrossBusiness Enablement:
- Support prospect and customer conversations with fast credible analysis.
- Accelerate customer timetovalue through early data preparation and validation.
- Deliver reliable insights to support Principals and customerfacing teams.
- Surface recurring data issues or workflow improvements for internal teams and product development.
Example work:
- Preparing baseline data for new customer implementations.
- Providing analytical support for Principals working with customers.
- Feeding recurring data challenges back into product improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of corporate travel programs (TMCs OBTs policies) is a great plus.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with messy incomplete datasets.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to nontechnical stakeholders(internal and external).
- Detailoriented pragmatic and comfortable working alongside AI systems creating new data tools.
