Continuous Improvement Engineer Internship

We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern with a strong interest in global trade and supply chain activities.

Department: Continuous Improvement

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Assistance: Support the planning implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Data Analysis: Gather analyze and interpret data to identify patterns constraints and improvement opportunities using tools such as Excel or other analytical software.
• Process Mapping: Analyze and document existing processes to detect inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
• Problem Solving: Contribute to structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as root cause analysis (5 Whys Fishbone Diagram).
• Documentation: Develop and maintain project-related documentation including process maps standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
• Communication: Share progress updates insights and recommendations clearly with team members and relevant stakeholders.
• Training & Development: Take part in training sessions and workshops to strengthen knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other related duties as required.

Specific

• Education: Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in engineering (Industrial Manufacturing or related field) Business Administration or other relevant discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English and Spanish (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis is a plus.
