Acciona is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for the South Commuter Railway Project in Manila Metro Manila.

A professional geotechnical engineer typically handles:

• Site investigation studying soil and rock through drilling sampling and laboratory testing.
• Foundation design determining the best type of foundation (shallow deep piles etc.)
• Slope stability analysis preventing landslides and ground failure during construction.
• Earthworks & excavation ensuring safe digging and back filling operations.
• Ground improvement strengthening weak soils using techniques like compaction or grouting.
• Seismic analysis assessing earthquake risks and soil behavior such as soil liquefaction.
• Retaining structures designing retaining walls and support systems for construction purposes.
• Geotechnical design work performing geotechnical design tasks as assigned by the Project Director and Technical Design Manager.

• A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years of geotechnical experience or 5 years of experience with a Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Must have passed the Civil Engineering licensure examination
