Lead Privacy Coordinator

Drive global privacy excellence and make a meaningful impact at DLL

As Lead Privacy Coordinator you play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding privacy and data protection across DLL on a global scale. Combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership you manage a central team of Privacy Coordinators and provide functional direction to a broad international privacy operations community.

Day to day:

  • Manage and lead a small central team of Privacy Coordinators.
  • Coordinate and lead the privacy coordinator community within DLL (functional steer)establish and sponsor global privacy practices (work instruction level) for the Privacy Operations Community.
  • Coordinate implementation of the Global Privacy Policy Framework (Policy Standards and Procedures) and Strategy. This includes the development and establishing of an annual global privacy operations plan addressing prioritization of BAU activities of PCs and new initiatives.
  • Maintain open discussion with the Global Privacy Office and other internal stakeholders regarding improvements to the Global Privacy Framework to ensure simplification efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage the operational aspects of privacy compliance for Global CCO and COO Corporate and Group IT stakeholders including Privacy by Design personal data breach and individual rights requests including reporting.
  • Act as the first point of contact for privacy and data protection matters and provide privacy advice to the 1st LoR.
  • Manage privacy risks. Establish reporting to determine whether the residual privacy risk is acceptable. This includes but is not limited to performing an annual attestation on privacy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) coordination of the execution of activities relating to risks and controls of the Risk and Control Framework (RCF) coordination of the execution of activities relating to Local Monitoring establishing quarterly Privacy Committee reporting and other ad hoc privacy reporting. Support to manage follow up actions with Business Owners.
  • Ensure privacy compliance and Privacy by Design data process within DLL. Launch and coordinate privacy assessments for processing activities and IT solutions to embed Privacy by Design is implemented into business practices and IT solutions. Coordinate and monitor the completion of treatment plans to mitigate risks identified in the privacy assessments.
  • Manage activities and improvements to ensure an adequate ROPA registration. Maintain and periodically review the Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) to identify and address gaps (incorrectness/incompleteness) in personal data processing activities not registered. Manage required follow up actions.
  • Support to ensure adequate privacy incident management.
  • Timely and accurately manage requests from individuals who wish to exercise their rights related to their personal data. Manage privacy complaints within the regulatory timelines.
  • Support to ensure transparent processing - Provide a description of relevant processing activities for updates and publication of (local) Privacy Statements in cooperation with relevant stakeholders (local legal group legal IT). Communicate updates to Privacy Statements to the organization.
  • Support to ensure data sharing with Third Parties is compliant and sage. Ensure proper due diligence is executed. Coordinate and monitor that the appropriate third-party privacy contracts (e.g. Data Processing Agreements Standard Contractual Clauses (EU Model Clauses)) are in place where required.
  • Provide privacy training and awareness on all privacy themes and monitor the local completion of mandatory global privacy and data protection training.
  • Ad hoc investigations -support 2LoR 3LoR and external investigations.

Essentials:

Education and other credentials:

  • At a minimum bachelors degree in for example in (privacy) law. Masters degree preferred.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent qualification in privacy (desirable)
  • Certification in information security information management information technology business or related fields (desirable)

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a privacy role (e.g. privacy officer privacy manager privacy coordinator privacy steward)
  • Experience in performing privacy assessments (e.g. PIA DPIA ROPA TIA Records Management IA)
  • Experience in performing privacy and data protection gap assessments
  • Experience in data collection analysis trending monitoring and reporting
  • Experience in drafting and implementing Privacy Policies Standards Procedures and Work Instructions within an international organization
  • Experience in the financial services industry with specific experience in equipment leasing and vendor finance (preferred)
