Job Summary
About the Role
The Fixed Probe Card Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining fixed probe cards and probe card analyzer equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability in wafer probe operations.
This role involves reviewing processing techniques performing troubleshooting and repairs and supporting continuous improvement of fixed probe card maintenance processes to sustain production quality and efficiency.
What You Will Do
Maintenance & Repair
- Plan schedule and perform validation and repair of fixed probe cards (PCB and probe head)
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve faulty probe cards to minimize production impact
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Establish and maintain tracking records for probe card usage and performance (e.g. probe beam lifespan touchdowns)
Equipment Installation & Upgrades
- Oversee installation and qualification of probe card analyzer equipment
- Plan and execute upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and performance
Technical Support & Collaboration
- Provide technical support to operations and production teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and servicing
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of validations repairs inspections and modifications
- Prepare regular reports on probe card performance and maintenance activities
- Develop and standardize troubleshooting procedures and maintenance guidelines
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to and promote company health safety and environmental policies
- Ensure all equipment complies with regulatory and industry standards
Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage spare parts and tools inventory
- Identify cost-effective sourcing solutions
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements based on data analysis and feedback
- Participate in training to stay updated on industry best practices
- Support introduction and qualification of new probe card technologies
- Conduct buy-off for new technologies and analyze performance results
Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) Projects
- Lead and execute MVA projects related to fixed probe cards
- Deliver improvements within committed timelines to reduce Die Free Package Cost (DFPC)
What You Will Need
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wafer probe process and fixed probe card maintenance in the semiconductor industry
- Hands-on experience with probe card analyzer equipment
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred
- Statistical data analysis skills are an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of fixed probe card maintenance and wafer test hardware
- Proficient in microscope inspection soldering and fine alignment techniques

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented and proactive
- Able to work under pressure
- Fluent in English
