We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Spanish Teacher to join a successful Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department in Stockport. Known for its iconic railway viaduct and its unique position as a gateway between urban Manchester and rural Cheshire Stockport is a town with high educational aspirations. We are looking for an educator who can make language learning accessible exciting and central to the schools global outlook.
Core Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-quality Spanish lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ability to teach A-Level Spanish is highly desirable.
Communication-First Pedagogy: Using a variety of interactive methodsincluding Target Language (TL) immersion choral mimicry and digital toolsto develop students speaking listening reading and writing skills.
Cultural Enrichment: Bringing the Spanish-speaking world to life through the study of film music literature and festivals fostering a genuine intercultural understanding.
GCSE Preparation: Guiding students through the rigours of the AQA or Edexcel GCSE specification with a particular focus on building spontaneous speaking skills and high-level translation accuracy.
Literacy & Grammar: Strengthening students understanding of linguistic structures including verb conjugations and tenses in a way that is logical fun and memorable.
Pastoral Leadership: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor providing a supportive environment and acting as a consistent point of contact for a specific group of students.
