Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cambridge to assist with the appointment of a HR Advisor on a 6.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.82 - 24.68 per hour

Summary:

The HR Advisor role involves supporting managers with case management employee relations and change programmes while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling sound risk-aware decision-making and improving people management capability across services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers on employment matters offering practical solutions aligned with policies and legislation
  • Support and coach managers on employee relations issues including disciplinary grievance performance ill health and redundancy cases
  • Assist with change management initiatives such as restructures and TUPE transfers
  • Liaise with trade unions to maintain positive employee relations
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data management on HR systems and analyse trends to inform decision-making
  • Contribute to HR projects research and organisational initiatives

Qualification:

  • A Level or Equivalent

Essentials:

  • Proven HR experience within a similar advisory role
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting managers with employee relations and change management
  • Ability to analyse HR data and provide meaningful insights
  • Understanding of trade union engagement
