Level 2 Practitioner / Nursery Assistant
Location: Lightwater Surrey
Salary: 23000 to 25000 per annum
Type: Full time
We are recruiting for a Level 2 Practitioner / Nursery Assistant to join a well-regarded early years setting in Lightwater.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and wants to be part of a nursery that combines a warm home-from-home environment with a strong focus on quality care learning through play and child development. The successful candidate will support childrens learning development and wellbeing while working as part of a friendly and caring team. This role would suit either a qualified Level 2 practitioner or a strong nursery assistant with relevant experience who enjoys day-to-day nursery practice values parent partnership and wants to work in a setting with a positive reputation and supportive culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
- Help create a safe warm and stimulating environment for children.
- Assist with activities that support childrens learning development and wellbeing.
- Contribute to observations routines and childrens day-to-day care.
- Build positive relationships with parents carers and colleagues.
- Promote safeguarding health and safety and best practice across the setting.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider nursery team.
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification preferred or previous experience as a nursery assistant.
- Previous nursery or childcare experience.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and early years practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive caring and proactive approach.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of childcare and education.
