Management Accountant FTC
Job Summary
Our well established Ladbrokes Coral Retail Finance team are recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join us on a 12 month FTC.
Key responsibility will be to produce timely accurate and insightful Management Accounting and Reporting for the Ladbrokes Coral Retail Division - UK. Ensure a strong commercial understanding of the division so that all relevant process improvements and cost opportunities can be realised. Balance Sheet knowledge is key to this role.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring these are delivered to a high-quality meeting reporting deadlines.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
- Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to budget/forecast/prior year to explain and drive performance
- Ensure certain group reporting requirements are completed within required deadlines and to a high standard
- Preparation of annual budgets work with budget owners to create annual budgets and reforecasts
- Assist in collation of audit files and audit deliverables for Interim and year-end audit.
- Support ad-hoc analysis in conjunction with key stakeholders to understand key drivers and any financial impacts
- Build good working relationships with key contacts in order to understand the business and the business needs
- Work with the wider Finance team regarding financial reporting requirements and improvements
Qualifications :
- Finance Qualification Qualified/Part Qualified (ACCA ACA CIMA)
- Experience of planning forecasting and delivery of insight through analysis
- Strong level of Excel skills (v/h lookups sum-ifs pivot tables etc)
- Experience with reporting and presentation of data
- Ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable commercial awareness
- Results driven can work at fast pace whilst ensuring accuracy
- Has the ability to take ownership of an area and drive improvement
