Job Summary
3 Month Contract With A local Authority
Job Purpose
We are seeking two skilled and reliable Ground Workers with hands-on experience in general repairs and maintenance. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out a range of repair works across estates and public areas ensuring high-quality standards and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out concrete repairs including PCC paving slabs bollards and associated structures
- Perform brickwork repairs including rebuilding walls pointing and rendering
- Undertake tarmac repairs on walkways and estate roads including pothole repairs
- Inspect works and identify required repairs or maintenance
- Complete detailed reports following site visits and completed works
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects efficiently
- Operate and update job records using a PDA system
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks particularly in:
- Concrete repair works
- Brickwork and masonry
- Tarmac and surfacing repairs
- Concrete repair works
- Ability to produce clear and accurate written reports
- Comfortable using handheld devices / PDA systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good understanding of site safety practices
