Job Title: Sr. Migration Engineer

Location: Remote India

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

Role Overview/Job Responsibilities

Skills:

• OpenShift Container Platform (OCP ) Kubernetes
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere ESXi vCenter Hyper-V
• MTV: Migration Toolkit for Virtualization
• Kubernetes Networking SR-IOV/DPDK/OVS

Role Overview:

• Responsible for migrating appliances to new OpenShift infrastructure based on established patterns. Either from physical appliances or from existing VMWare virtual machines.
• Some Out of hours/weekends work is required.
• Manage warranty issues attending CABs etc and defect resolution
• Conduct testing during lab validation; document success/failure per pattern.
• Execute appliance migrations; implement automation scripts; perform acceptance test plans; validate post-migration functionality with application owners

Required Experience:

• Proven expertise in virtualization platforms VM Ware and Redhat Openshift as a must have
• Experience migrating and testing network and security appliances into OpenShift (e.g F5 Cisco ASA Cisco ISE Bluecoat)
• Proven experience migrating complex virtualized workloads at scale
• Strong background in network technologies and managing migrations in both test and production.
• Experience of Change management requirements in customer environments.
• Excellent communication skills
