Job Summary
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer
In this role you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design code test debug and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives enterprise technological environment and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts senior technology team and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects teams or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
Desired Qualifications
- 12 years of overall software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python for productiongrade systems.
- 1 years of handson experience building GenAI / Agentic AI solutions using Google ADK (GADK) or LangChain LangGraph
- Strong experience designing and deploying agentbased architectures including multiagent workflows tool orchestration and state management.
- Experience in AI/ML algorithms LLM concepts embeddings vector search and retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) Classification
- Handson experience with MongoDB (including vector capabilities) and data modeling for AI workloads.
- Experience deploying AI solutions to enterprise production environments including scalability observability security and cost controls.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices for AI/ML workloads.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering data and platform teams.
Job Expectations
- Design develop test and deploy enterprisegrade AI and Agentic AI solutions using Python LangChain LangGraph and Google ADK.
- Lead the implementation of LLMpowered agents and workflows aligned to business and operational use cases.
- Build and maintain scalable secure and observable AI services suitable for production environments.
- Contribute to companywide standards and best practices for GenAI agent architectures and responsible AI usage.
- Collaborate with platform security and data teams to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise requirements.
- Review and evaluate AI architectures and algorithms to support both tactical delivery and longterm strategy.
- Mentor engineers and act as a technical leader on AI initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovations that improve productivity and business outcomes.
