Job Context:The plant in Nagda is more than 50 years old. The plant has a mix of vintage and latest machinery which makes it difficult to manage the plant. New plants with superior technology are coming up in the market which pose a major challenge for the growth of the plant. Thus there is need to improve technology & satisfy the customers with products at competitive price consistently. For instrumentation earlier plant was pneumatically controlled and gradually upgraded to single loop digital controllers and further moving with latest technology plant is not controlled by DCS and all the Energy centres are on common platform.
Major Challenges:
To implement & maintain cost reduction activities by adopting new technologies especially in the field of Electronics to have reduction in furious disturbance in plant thus reduction in unplanned down time and reduced maintenance cost.
Maintain the Control room environment to G1 level so that all delicate electronic cards function properly with any malfunctioning.
Selection of Critical equipments for highly corrosive atmosphere is also a very big challenge as it direct affects the performance of the plant.

Safety observation in Grid areas tool box talk and ensuring following of New Work permit system in all areas.
