Summary:
The Production Head plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the biscuit manufacturing division. Reporting to senior leadership this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production from planning and execution to quality assurance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team ensure compliance with stringent food safety standards including FSSAI HACCP and GMP and optimize resource utilization to deliver consistent high-quality products. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency minimizing waste and supporting the companys growth objectives in the competitive FMCG landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end biscuit production operations including planning scheduling and execution.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower machinery and raw materials to maximize output and efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to product quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations (FSSAI HACCP GMP).
- Monitor production performance track wastage and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate closely with quality maintenance and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction efficiency gains and innovation.
- Enforce safety protocols maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting.
- Lead mentor and develop production supervisors and shop floor teams to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
Requirements
- 1015 years of progressive experience in biscuit or wafer manufacturing within the FMCG sector.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale production units with a focus on quality safety and efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards including FSSAI HACCP and GMP.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with experience in mentoring production supervisors.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning KPI tracking and process optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced results-driven environment.
