Job Summary

Summary:
This role is pivotal in driving the technical execution and strategic migration of enterprise integration solutions from legacy middleware platforms to the Workato iPaaS environment. As a technical leader you will be responsible for designing developing and deploying robust secure and high-performance integration workflows while ensuring seamless transition with zero business disruption. You will play a central role in shaping the integration strategy guiding cross-functional teams and serving as a trusted technical advisor to both IT and business stakeholders. Your leadership will directly influence the scalability maintainability and innovation of our integration ecosystem enabling faster time-to-market and improved system interoperability across global platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end design development and implementation of integration solutions on the Workato iPaaS platform ensuring excellence in quality performance and security.
  • Drive the technical analysis planning and execution of migrating existing interfaces from legacy ESB to Workato maintaining business continuity and minimizing operational risk.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices through regular code reviews solution design validation and hands-on mentorship of junior developers.
  • Collaborate with project managers solution architects and business stakeholders to define project scope technical roadmaps and realistic delivery timelines. Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison across global business and IT teams translating complex technical concepts into clear actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications data mappings and operational runbooks for all integration solutions.

Requirements

  • 7 years of hands-on experience with ESB event-driven architecture and Workato iPaaS.
  • Minimum of 1012 years of software development experience with a strong focus on enterprise integration platforms.
  • Proven leadership in at least one major migration from a traditional middleware (e.g. TIBCO MuleSoft) to a modern iPaaS solution. Direct Workato experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions mentor team members and conduct rigorous code and design reviews.
  • Experience contributing to project planning architectural discussions and technical strategy development.
  • Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills with a track record of engaging effectively with global stakeholders.
Technical Skillsets:
  • Middleware / iPaaS: Deep hands-on experience with Workato TIBCO MuleSoft or equivalent enterprise-grade integration platforms.
  • API Platform: Practical experience with API management tools such as Apigee Kong or AWS API Gateway.
  • Event-Driven / Streaming: Solid understanding and operational experience with Kafka or similar event-driven platforms.
  • File Transfer: Proficiency with MFT protocols and solutions for secure reliable file exchange.
  • Cloud Platform: Experience with major cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP) and cloud-native integration patterns.
  • Programming Foundation (Good to Have): Strong foundation in Java or Python reflecting solid software engineering principles.
