Position Title	Head Operations / Segment Head – Transmission & Distribution
Grade / Designation	GM/AVP
Role Objective	The Head - Operations is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the endtoend execution and business performance of EHV/HV Transmission Line and Substation projects (132kV to 765kV) across both domestic and overseas locations. The role is accountable for delivering highvalue complex EPC projects within defined scope time cost quality and safety parameters while driving execution excellence stakeholder satisfaction and sustained profitability. The incumbent will lead large multidisciplinary teams manage complex stakeholder ecosystems and strengthen execution governance across EPC transmission projects in diverse geographic regulatory and cultural environments.
Major Deliverables	Operational Leadership Lead endtoend EPC execution of EHV/HV transmission line and substation projects (132kV–765kV) from initiation through commissioning Ensure ontime commissioning and energization of transmission lines and substations even under challenging conditions such as remote locations difficult terrain RoW constraints adverse weather and pandemiclike disruptions Drive delivery of projects in line with contractual scope schedule baselines approved budgets technical specifications and safety standards Oversee simultaneous execution of multiple highvalue projects across regions and countries Project & Portfolio Management Manage a diversified portfolio of EPC projects. Provide leadership for pan India and international EPC transmission projects ensuring consistent execution standards across geographies Manage mobilization of project teams resources contractors and systems for overseas projects Ensure full compliance with local statutory regulations grid codes contractual obligations and safety norms across domestic and international locations Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for delayed or impacted projects and implement recovery plans. Financial & Commercial Control Own P&L responsibility for assigned EPC projects and portfolios including revenue margin delivery cost control cash flow and collections Ensure achievement of OP plans KPI targets margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives. Participate in budget preparation and quarterly forecasting in coordination with sales and ITO teams. Drive contract administration variation orders claims and EOT management to protect commercial interests Establish robust project governance frameworks including progress reviews risk management and executive decision escalation Identify risks and opportunities to protect and enhance project profitability. Customer & Stakeholder Management Act as senior interface with clients utilities consultants lenders JV partners and statutory authorities Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with utilities EPC clients and government bodies such as PGCIL Sterlite Power Tata Projects Adani etc. Represent the organization in steering committees project reviews and high level statutory meetings People Leadership & Capability Building Lead cross-functional teams across projects engineering construction quality sourcing and services. Mentor and develop high-performing teams including remote and multi-location teams. Drive change management initiatives to improve efficiency accountability and delivery excellence EHS & Quality Compliance Promote a strong EHS culture ensuring full compliance with safety quality and integrity policies. Ensure zero-compromise approach toward workplace safety and regulatory compliance at all project sites.
