QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years clerical experience preferred
- Experience in effectively using a variety of word processing and office software
- Experience in working with multiple supervisors preferred
- Recommended by ESC Executive Director
- Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the board of directors
CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job positions.
- Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job.
- Report for work ready to perform responsibilities.
- Support the mission goals and objectives of the ESC.
- Uphold and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC.
- Perform professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies processes and procedures.
- Meet proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by the supervisor.
- Incorporate appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor.
- Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Chief Finance & Operations Officer.
- Process all personal timekeeping travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner.
DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline.
- Demonstrate positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be willing to work as a member of a team but also independently.
- Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner.
- Keep Business Operations Manager / Chief Financial Officer advised of all pertinent business.
- Attend all departmental staff meetings and general staff meetings.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be informed of workshops events and special events in the building for the day
- Place receive and transfer telephone calls to appropriate personnel record/distribute telephone messages and maintain an updated telephone list.
- Be informed for directing guests and vendors to appropriate personnel or conference rooms.
- Provide guests and vendors with name tags when appropriate.
- Know and recognize the Superintendents for the Region.
- Receive sign documentation and notify staff for all packages and parcels received.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to maintain documentation for POs for received items.
- Coordinate with the backup Receptionist for lunch and breaks.
- Announce employee birthdays via email.
- Coordinate with café to monitor Workshop attendance at least 2 weeks in advance
- Maintain an outdoor electronic sign.
- Distribute incoming mail for the building.
- Assist participants with ESCWorks log-in issues and registration process.
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
As assigned by Supervisor or Executive Director.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Up to 226 working days.
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
