Position Title: Utility Construction Laborer

Reports To: Foreman/Project Manager

Department: Field Operations

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reporting Location: Whitmore Lake MI

Position Summary

Join a crew that builds the infrastructure communities rely on every day. As an Underground Utility Construction Laborer youll work hands-on installing and replacing critical water and sewer systems while supporting a skilled field team. This is an active outdoor role for individuals who take pride in hard work value safety and want to be part of a team that gets the job done right.

What Youll Do

• Assist with the installation repair and maintenance of underground water and sewer utilities
• Load unload and transport materials tools and equipment to and from job sites
• Install and remove water and sewer mains in accordance with plans and specifications
• Read and interpret construction drawings and instructions to perform work accurately
• Drive company vehicles to job sites in compliance with DOT requirements
• Perform traffic control and flagging to maintain safe job site conditions
• Follow all safety procedures and report incidents as required
• Travel to project sites throughout Michigan as needed

Compensation

• Compensation is based on the applicable union scale with opportunities for higher starting pay based on experience.
• Minimum Starting Pay: $31.66/hour (includes $2.00/hour CDL Premium) ($27.66/hour base wage $4.00/hour vacation pay (taxable)
