Job Summary
The Electronic Technician II will provide highly technical skills in construction installation operation calibration and maintenance of electronic and Control Systems on campus and expertise in electronic/monitoring/power systems VFDs Safety Circuits and Motor Starters.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Operate install calibrate and maintain systems on campus. Troubleshoot and install motors and VFDs. Support/assist HVAC mechanics EMCS personnel and other shops as required. Drive a UTA owned vehicle. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of advanced journeyman-level experience in operation maintenance and repair of related equipment including one (1) year of electrical experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role. This position requires you to have and maintain a Texas Class C Operators Drivers License and three (3) years of acceptable driving history.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of electronic/control/instrumental school or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of electrical training. Five (5) years of relevant experience in building automation. Strong communication skills for positive interaction with campus staff faculty and students.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm. The anticipated start date for this position is June 1 2026.
