Job Summary
Qualifications/Experience:
Associate of Arts Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification required.
Successful background check required. Prefer experience working with children.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:

Specific Tasks:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing intervention and therapy regarding students fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g. perceptual-motor hand functions motor coordination sensory development muscle strength etc.) under the direction of the Occupational a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) your duties are performed in support of an occupational therapist providing treatment for patients. A school COTA works with students who need therapy services and your responsibilities focus on helping children be able to participate in educational activities and classes. As a COTA you help collect information and assess the needs of students before working with an occupational therapist to plan and administer a treatment addition to working with students who have physical barriers you often serve students who need behavior development or mental health thejob descriptionfor additional information.
Hours Per Day:
7.5 hours per day
