Job Summary
The Public Area / Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness appearance and overall presentation of all public spaces throughout the hotel. This position helps create a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests by ensuring the lobby restrooms hallways elevators meeting space and other public areas are clean organized and well maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the hotel lobby public restrooms hallways elevators stairwells and other assigned public areas
- Dust sweep mop vacuum and polish floors furniture fixtures and glass surfaces
- Monitor and replenish restroom supplies such as soap paper towels and tissue
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in all assigned public areas
- Clean entrance doors windows mirrors and high-touch surfaces regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms pre-function areas fitness center and other guest-facing spaces as assigned
- Report maintenance issues safety hazards or damaged items to the appropriate department promptly
- Respond quickly to spills guest requests and special cleaning needs
- Ensure cleaning carts storage areas and supplies are organized and properly stocked
- Follow hotel brand standards safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests and team members
- Support housekeeping and other departments as needed
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to stand walk bend lift and move for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 2540 pounds as needed
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and guest service standards
Work Environment
- Fast-paced hotel environment
- Requires frequent walking standing bending pushing pulling and lifting
- May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
Performance Expectations
- Maintain a clean neat and guest-ready appearance in all public areas
- Complete daily cleaning assignments on time and according to hotel standards
- Deliver courteous and professional guest service at all times
