What youll do
Strategic Business Partnering:Act as a high-impact people and talent partner providing expert HR advice and aligning people strategies with business objectives to deliver tangible outcomes. You will proactively support organizational design talent management and strategic people planning initiatives. Success means becoming a trusted advisor to business leaders and driving impactful HR solutions.
Strategic People and Workforce Planning:Lead cyclical people planning processes including workforce planning talent development succession planning and employee engagement aligned with business priorities. Daily activities include collaborating with leaders to ensure accurate position management and reporting on key people indicators. Success is measured by seamless execution and alignment with business goals. Travel may be required regionally to engage with stakeholders.
Data Driven Insights:Utilize workforce analytics to inform talent decisions and strategies crafting compelling narratives and presentations for senior leaders. You will diagnose organizational needs and measure HR initiative impacts ensuring stakeholders understand data trends and implications.
Influencing & Coaching:Guide leaders through high-impact decisions on team structure leadership development and performance management with a consultative approach. Build strong relationships and confidently challenge when necessary to achieve business outcomes.
Organisational Effectiveness and Capability:Build leadership capability by partnering with Centres of Expertise and L&D specialists. Advise on compensation benefits and lead change initiatives to evolve organizational culture. You will be directly involved in talent acquisition development and succession planning activities.
Compliance & Governance:Ensure compliance with global HR policies employment legislation and manage employee/industrial relations including union agreements and labor compliance audits.
Leadership:Promote and role model Weirs values champion Diversity Equity & Inclusion and engage in continuous improvement and professional development initiatives.
Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What youll bring
Must-haves:
Recognised HR qualification or equivalent professional experience as a HR Business Partner in a global matrixed company.
Extensive knowledge of Industrial Relations (IR) matters and strong expertise in BBBEE compliance across Africa.
Proven ability to translate business priorities into effective HR strategies and people plans aligned with global change agendas.
Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple geographies and matrix environments.

Nice-to-haves:
Experience working across diverse African markets beyond South Africa.
Familiarity with Workday and ServiceNow platforms.
Strong commercial awareness and strategic forward-thinking mindset.
Skilled in change management and data-driven HR decision-making.
