EXPERIENCED DEMENTIA CAREGIVER NEEDED APEX NC

No Place Like Home Senior Services (NPLH) is seeking a compassionate experienced caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a gentleman living with advanced-stage dementia in his home.
This role is ideal for someone who understands higher-acuity dementia care and can provide consistent calm and patient support while maintaining dignity and quality of life.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
- Lives at home with his wife and their senior dog
- Must be comfortable working in a home with a dog
- Diagnosed with advanced-stage dementia requiring hands-on care redirection and supervision
- Benefits from routine reassurance and a calm structured environment
- Family values respectful compassionate and engaged caregivers
The goal of this role is to provide safety comfort and quality of life through consistency and connection
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide continuous supervision companionship and redirection
- Assist with all ADLs (bathing dressing grooming toileting meals)
- Manage advanced dementia behaviors with patience and skill
- Maintain a calm structured daily routine
- Support mobility and ensure safety at all times
- Light housekeeping and household support
- Communicate updates to family and agency staff
SCHEDULE
- Part-Time or Full-Time available
- Opportunity for additional hours with other clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Experience with advanced dementia or Alzheimers care
- Patient calm and dependable
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
- Must be comfortable with dogs (required)
- Must pass background check and references
