DIRECTOR TECHNOLOGY CENTER
Qualifications:
- South Carolina certification as required for the position or eligible for appropriate certification
- Masters Degree
- Minimum of five years of experience as a teacher and three years as an administrator
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable
Reports To: Superintendent
Job Goal
To provide instructional leadership for the technology center; maintain overall site operations; receive distribute and communicate information to enforce the policies of the technology center district and state; maintain safety of the technology center environment; coordinating technology center activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations problems and/or conflicts that could negatively impact the technology center.
Performance Functions
- Chairs meetings (e.g. curriculum safety site advisory special district committees) for the purpose of coordinating activities and ensuring that outcomes achieve school district and/or state objectives.
- Composes a wide variety of materials (e.g. quantity reports student activities correspondence) to document activities providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Delegates responsibilities for a variety of administrative functions to Assistant Director and other personnel to ensure workload management efficiency.
- Evaluates assigned personnel to ensure that standards are achieved and performance is maximized.
- Facilitates communication between personnel students and/or parents for the purpose of evaluating situations solving problems and/or resolving conflicts.
- Facilitates the development communication implementation and evaluation of quality learning to enhance excellence equality and equity for staff and students.
- Implements policies procedures and/or processes to provide direction and/or complying with mandated requirements.
- Leads the development and alignment of the school instructional mode and evaluation strategies to expand and implement teaching and learning.
- Manages technology center administrative functions (e.g. facility maintenance budget staffing) to maintain safe and efficient school operations within district guidelines.
- Presents information (e.g. budget overviews accounting processes distribution formulas) to communicate information gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internal controls.
- Represents the technology center within community forums for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals and/or assisting with issues related to technology center environment.
- Participates in meetings workshops and seminars as assigned to convey and/or gather information required to perform functions.
- Supervises technology center personnel to monitor performance providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of technology centers curriculum.

Working Conditions:
- Generally thejob requires 30% sitting 30% walking and 40% standing.
- Requires fine finger dexterity to use office equipment office technology andmaintainaccuratefiling systems.
- Effectively coordinate a variety of difficult technical administrative functions at a level requiring extensive independent decision-making within established rules policies and procedures
- Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- May experience constant interruptions inflexible deadlines and changes to normal routines.
Terms of Employment:
Twelve months/240 days; salary and work year to be established by the Board
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
