Heavy Equipment Technician Western NY
Location: Elma NY

Pay: Starting at $34/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift (OT as needed)

Baschmann Services has been keeping New Yorks biggest projects moving for 40 years. Were a trusted heavy equipment dealership with deep roots in Western NY and were looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Service team in Elma NY.

What Youll Do
- Diagnose and repair heavy Company & Customer construction equipment including excavators wheel loaders screening and crushing plants
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems
- Rebuild and install engines transmissions pumps and other components
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure high-quality repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate with the Service team
What Were Looking For
- 7 years of heavy equipment repair experience (diesel hydraulics electrical transmissions) or completion of a trade school program. Dealership experience is a plus
- Military or field mechanic experience also considered
- Must have own tools
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Organized self-motivated and team-oriented
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily
- Welding and fabricating skills preferred
Equipment Youll Work On
Excavators wheel loaders drill rigs crushing plants articulating trucks and more - including brands like KOBELCO Hitachi ASV McLanahan Anaconda and others.
Work Environment
- Primarily shop-based with occasional travel as needed
- Exposure to outdoor conditions moving machinery and heavy equipment
- Frequent standing bending kneeling and use of hand/power tools
- Must follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean organized workspace
