Room Leader
Location: Islington London
Salary: 30000 to 34000 per annum
Type: Full time
We are recruiting for a Room Leader to join a high-quality early years setting in Islington.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional to take the next step in their career within a nursery that combines strong educational values with a warm child-centred environment. The setting promotes aEdu-Care approach focusing on childrens wellbeing as the foundation for happy learning alongside an expert-designed curriculum and individual learning journeys for each child.
The successful candidate will lead their room with confidence support the wider team and help maintain high standards of care education and parent partnership. This role would suit an established Room Leader or a strong Senior Practitioner ready to step up.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the room
- Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
- Plan and oversee engaging age-appropriate activities
- Support childrens individual learning and development journeys
- Complete observations assessments and next steps to a high standard
- Build strong professional relationships with parents and carers
- Support and guide practitioners within the room
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding wellbeing and compliance
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience in a nursery setting
- Experience leading a room or supporting team practice at senior level
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Positive proactive and nurturing approach
