Job Summary
Company:
Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Process Mechanic to support the Chemical Processing Titanium and Aluminum Team in Hazelwood MO!
Position Responsibilities:
- Setup load and operate cranes
- Use hand and power tools measuring and indicating instruments such as hydrometers micrometers ammeters voltmeters thermometers timers and chemical testers necessary in performing any of these duties.
- Control and operate chemical metal cleaning treating and caustic etching processes such as anodizing color anodizing and alodining
- Maintain solution at proper temperature composition and strength
- Check density and temperature. Determine process times and equipment settings
- Record data of tank solutions as required
- Insert and remove parts from cleaning solutions for cleaning process
- Prepare materials for chemical etching and coating
- Touch up any imperfections in coatings before or during the chemical etching process
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1 years of experience with chemical processing
1 years of experience working with hazardous materials

- This is a union-represented position
- This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM 837) Collective Bargaining Agreement The selected candidate must be able to work any shift as assigned.
- New Hires as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period
