Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our growing this role you will perform high-level mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks construction machinery and specialized asphalt paving and sealcoating equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing repairing and maintaining a diverse fleet of diesel-powered vehicles to ensure peak operational performance

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery such as pavers millers rollers and bobcats as well as company vehicles.
Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Handle complex and major repairs independently.
Utilize middle to advanced-level welding skills for various types of welding as needed.
Respond to field service calls with a focus on delivering high-quality timely repairs.
Conduct on-site repairs at job locations to minimize downtime.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with managers regarding repair progress and parts inventory needs.
Work effectively within a team demonstrating a willingness to learn and train others.
Build and maintain positive working relationships

Qualifications (Experience Education & Certifications Key Attributes):

Preferred Qualifications

2 yearsof heavy-duty diesel or automotive mechanic experience.
Experience usingdiagnostic scan tools.
Trade school certificationin a related field.
Stable work historydemonstrating reliability and expertise.

Skilled at large tractor truck diesels including CAT and CUMMINS engines Large Diesel Peterbilt and MACK engines.
Skilled with Transmissions exhaust systems fuel systems drivelines differentials hubs and all other components of equipment including pavers millers rollers bobcats
Experienced working on Bobcats / skid steer equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues to ensure proper functioning and safe operation.
