About the role
We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to own and operate all aspects of payroll and benefits administration across Campus. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate compliant and efficient payroll processing while designing and managing a competitive cost-effective benefits program.
This is a highly hands-on role with full ownership of systems (Rippling) and benefits strategy. This role sits on the Finance Team reports directly to the CFO and works closely with the People team.

Own Payroll Operations
Run end-to-end payroll processing for all employees including full-time staff and faculty
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations
Manage payroll through Rippling including audits reporting and system optimization
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting for payroll
Lead Benefits Administration
Own the full benefits portfolio health dental vision retirement and more
Lead the annual benefits renewal process including broker and vendor negotiations
Manage benefits enrollment changes and employee communications
Optimize benefits offerings to balance employee experience with cost discipline
Support leadership with insights on compensation and benefits trends
Drive Systems & Compliance
Serve as primary administrator for Rippling (HRIS payroll) and Fidelity (401k)
Ensure compliance with ACA ERISA COBRA and other regulatory requirements
Support reporting reconciliations audits and payroll-related forecasting
Assist with equity-related administration in partnership with Carta as needed
Were excited about you because you have
6 years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration
Strong hands-on experience managing payroll systems Rippling strongly preferred
Experience managing benefits programs and leading vendor negotiations
Knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance
High attention to detail and strong operational rigor
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
What youll get:
A compensation package that includes a base salary ($100000 - $120000) equity grant
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including but not limited to skills prior relevant experience and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely base salary will be localized.
