Location: Brooklyn NY 11203
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Nights 8:00 PM 8:30 AM
Hours: 34.5 hours/week (3 shifts/week 11.5 hours/shift)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders
- Perform clinical procedures such as wound care IV insertion and catheterization
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as required
- Collaborate with care teams on discharge planning and continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans procedures and recovery care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to established clinical standards protocols and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care or post-acute setting
- Recent clinical experience within the past year
- Strong skills in:
- Patient assessment
- Medication administration
- IV therapy
- Wound care & infection control
- Post-operative care
- Telemetry monitoring
- Patient education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Certifications & Licensure
- Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification (as applicable)
