Job Summary
The State College Area School District is accepting applications for an anticipated full-time (1.0) long-term substitute position in Agricultural Science. The assignment is anticipated to begin on or around August 19 2026 and continue through early October.
Responsibilities include teaching Foundations of Agriculture Animal Sciences Natural Resources Food Production and Plant Science. The selected candidate will also assist with and help manage FFA activities.
The District seeks a dynamic energetic and student-centered educator who is qualified to lead engaging learning experiences in the classroom mechanics lab and greenhouse. Our comprehensive school-based agricultural education program emphasizes work-based learning through Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) and fosters student leadership through FFA.
Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid or emergency Pennsylvania certification in Agriculture Education (K12) Instructional Area Code 1200.
