Role Summary and Impact
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Accountant to join the Commercial Finance team in WPP Media Singapore. This role provides critical support across client profitability inter company processes payroll and overhead management quarterly forecasting and monthend close activities. The successful candidate will work closely with local regional and global stakeholders and leverage strong Excelbased data skills (including Power Query and Power Pivot) to ensure accurate efficient and wellcontrolled financial reporting.
The role also includes oversight and coordination of two Senior Executives within the team.

Skills and Experience
What you will do:
Commercial & Client Finance Support
- Prepare and analyse quarterly and adhoc client profitability (P&L) reporting.
- Ensure accurate intercompany cost recognition in accordance with client contracts signed Intercompany Work Orders and Group policies.
- Support responses to local and regional finance queries and internal and external audits ensuring timely accurate and welldocumented outputs.
Intercompany & Cost Management
- Manage intercompany activities including preparation and tracking of Intercompany Work Orders (IWOs) reconciliations and variance followups.
- Support the allocation and recovery of overheads payrollrelated costs and business support fees ensuring accuracy and compliance with WPP policies.
- Liaise with regional and global finance teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies and reporting issues.
Quarterly Forecast & MonthEnd Close Reporting
- Support monthend close processes including reconciliations and analytical reviews of payroll (resource planning and cost allocation) accruals and balance sheet accounts.
- Leverage Power Query and Power Pivot to automate and streamline data consolidation reconciliation and reporting.
- Ensure timely submission of reporting data and supporting schedules for management and regional finance teams.
- Maintain robust audit trails in compliance with ICFR / SOX requirements.
Data Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain Excel models using Power Query Power Pivot and advanced Excel functions to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including process documentation and strengthening of internal controls.
- Power BI experience is an advantage particularly for dashboarding or management reporting but not mandatory.
Team Support
- Provide daytoday oversight task allocation and review support for two Senior Executives.
- Ensure team deliverables meet quality timeline and control standards.
What you will Need
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- 35 years of relevant experience preferably in a media agency professional services or fastpaced multistakeholder environment.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial finance processes intercompany accounting and monthend close.
- Good understanding of financial controls compliance and audit requirements.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial reporting systems is an advantage.
- Detailoriented proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable working with stakeholders across markets.
