Teacher Programs
The Teacher Programs team is part of the larger Learning and Community Engagement Department and focuses on providing professional development research resource and networking opportunities for educational professionals through in-person and virtual programming.They also work with and support educators through the creation of lessons and other resources teachers can use in the classroom.
Job Duties
The Teacher Programs intern will provide support for the JYF Teachers Institute this Summer. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with program logistics researching and creating content driven social media posts for the Teacher Facebook and Instagram pages updating education website and resources for educators and assembling Classroom Resource kits for purchase through our museum gift shops.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong organizational and logistical planning skills
Demonstrated ability to research and write for students and educators
Knowledge of current teaching methodology
Strong communication skills to include oral and active listening
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 360
Interest in promoting educational programs and content through social media
Additional Considerations
Must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed at least 1 year in a higher education or a skilled trade or a tech program.
