Continuous Improvement Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

AHF Products has an exciting career opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist located at our plant in Cartersville this role you will provide technical services for the Cartersville Plant. These services include process improvement work daily process support cost reduction activities and project management. This position plays a critical role in our Lean and continuous improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Proactively providing quality technical assistance to the operation in terms of equipment. Providing preventative maintenance scheduling production process improvements system and facility maintenance procedures.
• Leading plant Quality and ISO teams in maintaining and improving plant quality
• Identifying and resolving common causes and special cause issues that impact line reliability and performance.
• Investigating manufacturing problems(root cause analysis) with the line and recommending corrective actions. This includes consulting with production and maintenance personnel analyzing the supporting data recommending corrective actions and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness.
• Executing capital projects ensuring cost schedule and performance goals are met or exceeded. This may vary from owning portions of a large project to sole ownership of a project.
• Educating operations personnel on process and technical procedures to ensure their knowledge and understanding.
• Coordinating training and start-up activities of new equipment and processes.
• Participating in Lean efforts such as kaizen events where an emphasis is placed on creativity before capital investment.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelors degree in engineering preferred or the equivalent of experience in a role(s)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in continuous improvement but not limited to
• Strong change management skills and experience
• Strong verbal written analytical and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Word Excel Access and PowerPoint
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check employment verification and drug screening
• Positive and Verifiable Work History
• Must follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment e.g. safety glasses side shields approved safety shoes and other PPE as needed
