Roster Maintenance Specialist - Oslo
Become part of our Roster Maintenance team at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and play an important role in SAS core this role you help ensure our flights and crew run smoothly and reliably every day.
Challenges you will work on
As a part of the Roster Maintenance team you will play a key role in maintaining managing and optimizing the released crew schedule primarily for Norwegian crew within SAS Scandinavia through to handover to Crew Control. Your work will have a direct impact on daily operations and overall performance at SAS. You will thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with extensive interaction across the role involves occasionaltravelto other RM (Roster Maintenance) teams and to Crew Planning in Swedenapproximately 68 times per year.
You will take ownership of both planning and operational decision-making including:
Crew & Scheduling
- Ensure all flights are correctly crewed
- Ensure that crew schedules and relevant updates are handed over accurately and on time to the OCC (operational control team) so that flights can be managed smoothly and without disruptions.
- Maintain stability and predictability in the released crew schedule
Resource Management
- Balance crew resources across SAS and its regional operations (SAS Connect SAS Link) as well as wet lease partners
- Align resource allocation across different regions within SAS
- Minimize the impact of disruptions and operational changes
Improvement & Optimization
- Contribute to reducing training needs hotel and transport costs and overtime
- Ensure a strong decision-making foundation during operational changes
- Provide continuous feedback to Crew Planning to improve quality and efficiency
- Support management in crew-related matters
The Team
Roster Maintenance is a team of 13 colleagues distributed across our four bases in CPH DUB ARN and OSL working closely together as one integrated function. In this role you will become part of our Roster Maintenance team at Oslo Gardermoen Airport collaborating closely with two local colleagues as well as the wider RM team across all bases. Together you will work daily with Flight Operations Crew Management Crew Planning SAS Connect/Link and other operational teams across the organization. You will join a highly collaborative and supportive environment where flexibility clear communication and strong teamwork are key to success. You will also have the authority to make decisions and serve as a visible and trusted point of contact for both crew and colleagues.
To be successful we believe you have
- Experience from aviation operations logistics or other planning-intensive environments
- Proficiency in at least one or more Scandinavian languages and English
- Knowledge of collective agreements and regulatory requirements within Flight Operations is beneficial
- Experience with CMS and other IT systems used in Crew Planning is beneficial
- Understanding of the interaction between Crew Planning and other operational functions is beneficial
