Job Summary
Location: Renton Washington (Seattle Area)
A well-established not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Acute Care Surgical Hospitalist to join its dynamic inpatient surgical team in Renton Washington. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Position Overview
Provide inpatient surgical care for acute care and emergency general surgery patients
Evaluate and manage surgical consults from the Emergency Department and inpatient units
Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures including emergency surgeries
Manage pre-operative intra-operative and post-operative care
Participate in trauma and acute care surgery call coverage (as applicable)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia critical care and nursing staff
Ensure timely documentation and adherence to quality and safety standards
Support efficient patient throughput and care transitions
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Active or eligible for Washington State medical licensure
Active/eligible DEA registration
Experience in acute care surgery trauma or emergency general surgery preferred
Strong operative and clinical decision-making skills
