The shipping supervisor oversees the shipping department and all shipping employees.
Specific Duties
The shipping supervisor performs these activities:
1. Ships orders on time.
2. Maintains an accurate finished goods inventory;
3. Follows safety rules.
| The shipping supervisor oversees the following operations: |
| 1. The counting packaging and labeling of parts for inventory. | |||
| 2. The counting packaging and labeling of parts for shipping. | |||
| 3. Entering shipping data into the manifest system. | |||
| 4. Painting of non permanent color code on finished parts. | |||
| 5. Engraving parts by hand. | |||
| 6. Engraving parts using a marking machine. | |||
| 7. Packaging parts individually by hand. | |||
| 8. Packaging parts individually using the O-Bagger machine. | |||
| 9. Assembling O-ring kits. |
| Experience Required | ||||
| Minimum experience: five years of previous experience in a shipping department. | ||||
| SAP experience strongly prefered. | ||||
| Enforce company safety policies. | ||||
| Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates and accuracy. | ||||
| Must have severed in a supervisor role. |
Education Required
| Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent. Must read write and speak English. |
Special Skills Required
Must be able to operate a forklift.
Physical Requirements
| Stands on concrete floor up to 10 hours. Lifts boxes of finished parts weighing up to 50 pounds |
