Maintenance Technician Mentor OH
Job Summary: Climax Metals (a division of RBC Bearings) is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate would provide general facilities maintenance support to ensure the plant and office operate safely efficiently and in a clean working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine facilities maintenance and repairs throughout the plant and office
- Replace light bulbs and maintains general lighting
- Performs basic plumbing repairs (leaks sinks toilets faucets)
- Maintains plant cleanliness and general upkeep
- Coordinates with property management on building repairs
- Assist operators with scheduled preventative maintenance on machine tools
- Works with machine tool service technicians when necessary
- Perform miscellaneous equipment maintenance
- Supports plant safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Maintain work areas and basic records
- Operate forklifts or equipment as needed
- Assists with snow removal and walkway safety
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 24 years general maintenance or manufacturing support experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing mechanical and building maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 85 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained
