Engineering Intern

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Technical Learning: Support mechanical and electrical design tasks under guidance from engineers.
Innovation & Development: Assist with CAD modeling drawing updates and basic design documentation.
Problem Solving: Perform basic analysis or calculations as assigned.
Project Support: Participate in prototype builds test setup and teardown activities. Assist with data collection during lab and field testing. Support fabrication of prototypes and test hardware including:
o Basic machining operations (e.g. drilling tapping simple lathe/mill work)
o Additive manufacturing (3D printing setup part preparation and post-processing)
o Light electrical and electromechanical assembly including basic soldering
o Assembly and modification of fixtures test rigs and experimental hardware
Collaboration & Communication: Participate in design reviews team meetings and technical discussions. Maintain organized records of work observations and results.
Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and validation of new designs to ensure they meet required standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Hands-on experience with shop tools rapid prototyping or fabrication processes (academic personal or internship projects)
Basic experience with CAD software (e.g. CREO SolidWorks AutoCAD).
Project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
Passion for mountain biking.
