Job Summary

Join us on a transformation journey as our Logistics Manager EMEA and CA&I

As the Logistics Manager EMEA and CA&I you are responsible for leading operational logistics team and for logistics execution for a given geographical area. The role is responsible for guiding the team to handle complex deliveries ensuring compliance and contractual timeframe and training the team to develop their functional skills and improve functional efficiency. Associates and coordinate with other region stakeholders for smooth operations. The role reports directly to the Head of EMEA and CA&I supply chain execution and requires strong knowledge on Incoterms HS Code Management and packaging practices for deliveries.

Your responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Determine shipping methods sizing load plan routes or rates for materials to be shipped.
  • Ensure shipping activities are followed as per logistics regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Develop forecasting plans to maintain enough inventory and coordinate the transportation or distribution of goods and services.
  • Maintain schedules and verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner.
  • Handle insurance issues regarding transportation to protect FLSmidths interests.
  • Work with Suppliers and warehouse personnel to ensure shipments and cost targets are met.

You will be leading a logistics team located primarily in Chennai India.

What you bring


You have a proven track-record in managing logistics operations in a fast paced service business. You have a strong functional knowledge as well as the leadership skills to drive high performing teams. To succeed in this role you have:

  • Masters Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in logistics order execution or supply chain management
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • High sense of urgency and accountability
