Student Worker Legacy ECC

Early Childhood Center Leadership and Curriculum Assistant Intern(26 - 27)


Number of Openings: 1


Purpose/Objective of the Role:

In this position the student will actively assist the ECC director and teaching staff with various programming tasks. The student will gain firsthand knowledge of the workings of an early childhood program. A wide variety of opportunities and activities will provide the student with a deep understanding of early education.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

The student will assist in the planning and implementation of the following activities; adherence to state licensing regulations parent orientation and other family related activities small scale fundraising efforts and curriculum planning/classroom set up.

Qualifications:

In order for the student to be successful in this position the following skills are necessary: time management task initiation cognitive flexibility and the ability to self-monitor. Education/psychology coursework and/or experience working with young children and their families is preferred.


Potential Future Career Benefit:

Students interested in pursuing careers in the fields of: education psychology sociology or business administration would highly benefit from this position.
